Group Progress 3

Today is Friday and after class yesterday we came to the conclusion that we would most likely being starting on the Website next. Ian has some sort of website building experience and said he would help us get that all organized and done. Emily and I will be working on our lyrics for the music video this weekend before I leave for IU and then break next week. Hope we have a little more done by the end of break.

Group Progress 2

We actually have not really progressed much further than last time when I wrote a blog. We didn't have class on Tuesday and we were given time to working on our projects. Myself, Ian, and Emily got together and finished our proposal which was due yesterday in class. Here is the proposal:

Prestige Worldwide
Ian McDonald, Kyle Goudreau, Emily Slain

• The purpose of this project is to inform teenagers that their actions are killing the coral reefs.
• Human actions such as overfishing and excessive overspill are the cause of dying coral reefs resulting in more harsh impacts of storms on land.
• The audience we are directing our information to is teenagers.
• We plan on making a webpage and a rap with its own music video. These will be easy access for teenagers and it is something that teenagers are already interested in. By having credible sources, information that appeals to our audience, and providing this all in a logical way we will incorporate ethos, pathos, and logos.
• As a group we decided we will each be writing our own sections of our rap and then combining them together for the final product. We will all work together in filming the video and making the webpage.

Group Progress

So far this week as far as the group progress goes, Emily, Ian, and myself have come up with our group name, which is Prestige Worldwide, and written the proposal. For our visual and audio portion of this project we decided that we would remix the "Boats and Hoes" music video from "Step Brothers" to our coral reef project issue. So far we haven't recorded the track or started recording our music video, but I have started writing lyrics for the remix and looking forward to recording the video. The second part to our presentation is the website. Emily has a website program so we will be using that for the informational end of this project.

Greatest Freak Out Ever

Fall Break 09

So every fall break I go camping at a camp called Camp Happy Hallow in Brown County, IN. We spend three to four days with the entire camp to ourselves including all the cabins, the shower house, the shelter, and the football field for all our camping needs. So this year was a little different then all the previous years. When I was 15 I dislocated my left shoulder playing kickball..ya I know...laugh it up..but for real, I tore my labrum after landing on my back left shoulder blade. This year actually ended not being much different in the end result. So one night, I was somewhat under the influence and decided it was a good idea to climb the roof of the college kids cabin, running around and yelling "IM BATMAN!" None of this was a good decision because when I tried to get down, I jumped and hit my right ribs on the railing of the walkway. It knocked the wind right out of me and cut up my side really bad. I later had xrays back at school that confirmed I had strained side muscles and two dislocated ribs. Not a good end to another fall break.
